Wedding Photography Workshop at Ashfield House

Yesterday I attended an amazing wedding photography workshop lead by Neil Redfern Photography to learn some new tips and tricks for the 2018 wedding season! The workshop took place at the award winning Ashfield House which is an absolutely stunning wedding venue in Lancashire. All the models were fabulous and easy to work with, thank you guys!

Creative Techniques

The days focused on some creative techniques that I can use to take even more gorgeous portraits. These techniques are easy and simple to set up once you know how to do them! I have a very natural approach when it comes to wedding photography. However, I do enjoy getting a bit creative for the couple portraits. Now I can ensure that you can have even more amazing portraits without it taking up too much time on your day. Don’t worry, it still won’t feel too posed either, nice and relaxed! The darker looking portraits can be done inside in almost any venue. So if you are getting married at a venue without any grounds or it is lashing down on your day we can still try these simple but impressive shots!

2018 Weddings

I enjoyed this workshop so much! It has left me feeling inspired for this years wedding photography and I can’t wait to put all of these new techniques that I have learnt to use! I’m feeling even more confident with my style and ability to capture your wedding day after this! I am so passionate about wedding photography. I absolutely love doing this for a job and being able to tell all of your stories of your special days!

Natural Style

My weddings are 90% natural images, taken in the moment as they happen. Portraits like these are lovely to have from your day. It’s when you’re feeling gorgeous and happy and it only takes 15 minutes to capture! It’s nice to get away from the hussle and bussle of everything and be alone with your husband/wife. This is the only time you will get to be alone all day. It is when it firsts sinks in that you just got married! So I love to capture all of the happy and raw emotions that you two are feeling during these couple photos 🙂

Neil is an amazing teacher and I would recommend his workshops to anyone!

    1. Thank you Jackie! I don’t usually do dark and moody but think it would be nice for couples to have one or two really nice portraits like this! Something a little different x

  1. These are so good, they’re up there with the best pictures you’ve ever taken! Very impressive.
